I just watched the first episode of Sweet Spy on TAN-TV . This is going to be a good one-stylish,sexy,and very expensive-looking. I'm hooked already. |

The second episode is great, too. It was often laugh-out-loud funny, and it is becoming apparent who the "sweet spy" is. Good show! |

| i've been watching "Sweet Spy" through the generous video downloads from the Soompi forum since it started, and i've been enjoying the show tremendously. the drama has action, hilarity, and romance. Nam Sang-Mi as Lee Sun-Ae (the rookie police officer) is the glue of the show. Her acting in "Sweet Spy" is wonderful--perfectly funny, naive, & sexy all at the right times. the men on the show are great looking and perfect for their role. although newcomer Dennis O'Neil (as the character Han Yoo-Il) may be a little shaky on his acting ability....his body language and facial expressions are right on. if you're looking for a show that'll make you laugh out loud, revved up by the action sequences, cry during tender moments, & swoon over romantic scenes (involving a MUST-SEE scene in episode 16) then "Sweet Spy" may be the drama to watch to fulfill just about anything you're looking for. |

I found episode 1 hard to follow as there were a lot of characters introduced and the story seemed to be a bit all over the place. Episode 2 however was pretty good, I too had a few laughs during the show. Looks like my Friday and Saturday evenings are booked once again for K-drama time. |

Did anyone notice the names of the potential female candidates for the special operation? "Kim Sam Soon", and a bunch of other names ending in "Soon." I know about Sam Soon, but are the other names supposed to be homely or embarassing as well?
By the way, if you're interested in the spy who had the pen on the plane, you can check out this article on Dennis O'neil:

Thanks Yobette for the article. I was curious about this actor as well and saw that KBFD says that his name is Dennis Oh. I had a feeling his actual name was Dennis O' xxxx and I was right. Dennis O' Neil.
I personally didn't think he was more asian looking than Henney (referring to the article). I think he is more mixed looking. I like his look better than Henney's.
As I watch the first couple of episodes, I only heard him speak Korean once. In "Sweet Spy", he seemed to be able to read Korean and understand spoken Korean but can't speak?? I find it hard to believe how he could not understand the female cop who gave him the speeding ticket but he could understand his partner. Did he pretend not to understand the cop or what?
I thought he didn't speak Korean because his Korean is not good enough. But apparently that is not be the case. His mother was originally from Korea and he said he used to watch K dramas and movies with his mother. So he should have no problem understanding and speaking some Korean. My child watches K dramas with me sometimes. Maybe he will be able to pick up some Korean too? Well, he is already eating Kim chee and likes spicy Kim chee fried rice.
Quoted from the article:
Slightly more Asian-looking than his fellow half-Korean star Daniel Henney, O |

Later, when I saw his swanky appartment and heard all of his phone messages in Japanese, Chinese and Korean, I got the definite feeling that he was just playing dumb to get out of the ticket!

I think this guy looks more ordinary....like he could be some local guy from Hawaii. I know I've seen similar-looking guys walking around. As for me, I like Henney's chiseled looks, though!!! |

I agree he is more like the boy next door. I guess I prefer his look because Henney's features are a little too sculptured and I think he is a little "too pretty" to be a man.

He ended up with a bigger problem, didn't he? He should have just taken the ticket, apologized and be on his way. Now he got a female korean cop involved. Anyway, I like this show so far. It seems to have everything in it! |

| You have to pay to watch MBC dramas. I believe for outside of Korea, it is 1000 wons per episode (1000 wons is about US $1, I think). |

I love this show! It is kind of corny, but so refreshing.
Captain Kang and Lee Soon Ae are my faves in this cute spy spoof! They're both attractive and somewhat naive, and I love their chemistry. Officer Park didn't waste any time in overpowering Captain Kang and kissing him against his will, then telling him she's wanted to do that for a long time. After she leaves, he can't believe it happened, but shows just a tiny smirk--almost like a pat on his back for having a woman be the agressor and almost have her way with him--too funny.
The rest of the cast do a great job in supporting this sketchy plot. They're doing a good job in keeping my attention. Can't wait for more. |

The plot will soon start to make more sense, as it becomes clear who all the various groups are that want the pen. I like the three gym workers the best. Also,I can't understand why the Captain is resisting Officer Park so much-I guess that is why it is a drama. |
